Halloween. But make it cute.

My daughter hates Halloween. She was born at the end of October, so Halloween naturally takes centre stage around her birthday every year. I imagine it's what December kids must feel like - having Christmas upstage their day yearly, too.

But Christmas is loving and fun. Halloween is just plain scary. And every October calendar picture is bright orange or a carved pumpkin or dark, graveyard scary stuff. And that's just not her cup of tea. Her and I, we're your classic rom com type of feel good gals. You can keep the horror movies, thanks very much.

And I have nothing against orange, either. It's a great colour, but not one that naturally sits well in our brains when it comes to colour appreciation.

Needless to say, I love that over the last few years, we have seen a rise in Halloween decor that is a little bit cuter and in pastel shades, too.

In honour of my daughter, I decided to design a cute, pastel Halloween decoration set that my now adult daughter would have loved when she was little - when all there was were fake cobwebs and a LOT of gaudy orange.
