Cherries are everywhere at the moment (as summer approaches and cherries come back into season), and The Printable Place is no exception as we release our Cherry On Top range.
One of my favourite memories is going back to when I was about 13 or 14 years old, sitting outside on our front lawn as the sun went down in the warm, dry Australian summer (so maybe around 8pm?) after a take-away fish and chip dinner. I was with my mum, siblings, and a family friend, and we ate cherries and were spitting out the pips to see who could get the furthest. I forget who won the competition, but it doesn't matter. The memory exists in my mind simply as a warm summer night, with family and laughing, with our only worry being eating the cherries.
Cherries always seem so decadent. Here in Melbourne, they are gosh darn expensive, and I only buy a handful or two at a time. They come out at Christmas time as a special dessert topper and seem extra special as we use the phrase, "Pretty please? With a cherry on top?" as the ultimate teaser.
Recently, I have been wandering the shops and have noticed little cherry patterns on t-shirts, perfumes and imagery. It was enough to inspire the Cherry On Top range and I hope you love it as much as I do!
